PDA Mobile Phones

The Nokia N79 (see CNET Review) is very, very similar to the Nokia 96 (why can’t they come up with cool names for them like some other Mobile Phone makers – Tundra, Bold, Curve, etc. Might be better than just a number. As you might have guessed with the smaller number, the Nokia N79 Mobile Phone isn’t as feature packed as its sibling, but it’s still a decent Mobile Phone. Like other Nokia N series phones, the Nokia N79 is feature heavy in the multimedia department. It’s a candybar handset phone, but it has a good screen and a lot of great multimedia features.

The design on the phone is pretty slick and modern looking, with chrome and sleek curves. It’s also a light phone. Not too light that it would float away in a big burst of wind, but light enough to fit in your pocket comfortably. Sometimes Mobile Phones get too large and bulky for their own good. That’s not the case with the Nokia 79. You can also get different covered faces for your phone to change the color to go with your mood or your wardrobe. This is a nice little touch for the fashion minded.

The screen is a 2.4 inch QVGA screen – with high resolution and a lot of colors, just want you want on a good multimedia Mobile Phone. They keypad (sorry, no QWERTY keyboard or touchscreen) is kinda small and may feel cramped if you have normal or larger hands. Don’t let this be the deciding factory, though, unless you do a lot of texting or email on your phone.

The phone supports a wide array of music formats, video formats and image formats. Nokia also makes it easy to share any multimedia files you might have on the phone.

Overall, this is a decent Mobile Phone for a decent price. If you like multimedia on your phone, but you don’t want to spend a lot, the Nokia N79 Mobile Phone is a good choice.
