Samsung TwoStep SCH-r470
The Samsung TwoStep SCH-r470 for the US Cellular network (see CNET Review or the official Samsung page) is pretty much a middle of the road contender when it comes to music capable mobile phones. If you're on the US Cellular network and are looking to get your first mobile with music, the Samsung TwoStep might be for you. For others, you're going to want to make sure that the Samsung TwoStep has everything you want and need when it comes to features in a mobile phone. Oh yeah, it has a camera too, which is pretty much standard on *most* mobile phones these days, even if they're not a full fledged PDA phone.
Samsung TwoStep Quick Stats:
- Dimensions: 3.58"x1.77"x.75"
- Weight: 3.6 oz
- Screen: 2" TFT Screen with 176 x 220 pixel resolution and 262K Colors
- Supported Audio Formats: MP3, WMA, AAC,AAC+,eAAC+
- Additional Memory: up to 8GB microSD
- Camera: 1.3 Megapixel
As you can see, all of the basics are pretty much covered by the Samsung TwoStep. That said, there are some things to be said about the overall design of the phone. For those with large hands (or even normal sized hands, whatever those are), the design and layout of the buttons can seem a little like you're driving a compact auto - it does what it's supposed to do, but there's not a lot of leeway or extra room.
There are a lot of things that make this mobile phone a great one for the beginning who wants the basics at a reasonable price. If you're more concerned about the music than the call quality, the Samsung TwoStep should be on your list. (You'll want to make sure that the TwoStep does everything that you're wanting it to do before you buy, though.)
If you have a Samsung TwoStep or want to complain about a TwoStep (is that a sidestep?), leave a comment below! We really, really want to hear from you. We think you're special ... because you are.
Until next time, keep steppin' up.
